Br. Hugh O'Neill, cfc is completing his second term as Province Leader of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers North America. It was Hugh's inspiration to start the Volunteer Community in New Orleans, he was our first Visitor for several years and always followed our activities closely.
Br. Peter Dowling, an Australian was on the previous Congregation team and has visited this community and knows us well.
Br. John Casey, the Councillor on the Congregation Leadership Team is a youthful Irishman, who has been Regional Leader for the Latin American Region where he went by Juan Casey. 'John Casey' is a common Irish name--there is another one in South America--'Juancito.' As a member of the Congregation Leadership Team, the Councillor has naming rights. The John Casey in New Orleans may just become: 'The Other Juan.' Oh, dear.
